Borders, frames, and watermarks

Open Export (Ctrl+3) and find Finishing. These settings apply to every photo in the export batch without changing your edits. They are remembered for your next export.

Add a border or frame

Enable Add a border or frame, then choose:

• Border — adds an even band on all four sides, insetting the photo while keeping the output dimensions unchanged.
• Frame — extends the canvas to a chosen Ratio, such as 4:5 or 1:1, without cropping the photo. Use Align to position the photo within the frame.

Both options have Width and Color controls.

Frames are useful when exporting portrait and landscape photos at the same aspect ratio.

Add a watermark

Enable Add a watermark, then click Edit.

1. Enter your Text.

2. Choose a Font. Hover over a font to preview it on the photo.

3. Adjust Size, Opacity, and Color.

4. Choose one of the nine Position anchors.

5. Adjust Inset to move the watermark away from the edge.

Size and inset are proportional to the photo's long edge, keeping the watermark's relative size and spacing consistent across export sizes.

The watermark sits on the photo itself, inside any border.

Preview the batch

Use the small preview for a quick check. For a larger view, click the button in the preview's corner to open the finishing studio.

The studio shows the photo with finishing controls beside it and your selected photos in a strip below. Select different photos to check how the same settings work across the batch.

Press Esc to close the studio.
