Keyboard shortcuts and gestures

Shortcuts for navigation, editing, comparison, and Library review.

On macOS, use ⌘ wherever Ctrl is shown and ⌥ wherever Alt is shown. Some shortcuts change depending on the active view or selected tool.

Drag the reference Compare divider	Resize the image panes
Double-click the reference Compare divider	Reset the pane sizes

Click a color in the photo or on the wheel	Place a pin
Click an existing pin	Select it
Drag a pin	Change its destination hue and chroma
Drag a pin's origin marker	Change the source color it selects
Scroll up over a pin	Widen its color range
Scroll down over a pin	Narrow its color range
`Shift`+scroll over a pin	Adjust feathering
`Alt`+scroll over a pin	Adjust variance
`Ctrl`+drag on the photo	Create a pin by sampling an area's color and lightness
Double-click a pin	Delete it
Right-click a pin	Choose its lightness range
`Delete` or `Backspace`	Remove the selected pin
`Esc`	Step back from the current interaction, then deselect

Sampling an area selects matching colors and lightness; it does not create a spatial mask.

In the Editor, panning moves the wheel and photo together. Scrolling over a pin adjusts its range instead of zooming.

Right-click a toolbar icon	Reset that tool
Double-click a slider	Reset its value
Double-click the Lightness strip	Reset the selected pin's lightness adjustment
Double-click the white balance pad	Reset white balance

Use the ⋯ menu beside the Editor tabs to reset the active tab or choose Reset all.

Undo affects edits. It does not change the current zoom, pan, or pin selection.

Drag a floating panel header to the top of the right column	Dock the panel
Double-click a panel header	Switch between docked and floating
Hold a panel's eye icon	Preview without that tool's adjustment
Click the Film grain eye icon	Toggle grain visibility in the preview
Click a slider readout	Enter an exact value
`Shift`+drag a slider or the white balance marker	Make finer adjustments

The Film grain eye icon affects only the preview. Exports still include grain unless its Intensity is set to 0.

Double-click a point	Remove it
`Delete` or `Backspace`	Remove the selected point in the active panel

For Color EQ and B&W EQ:

Click a color in the photo while the EQ is open	Add a point at that hue
Scroll over a point	Widen or narrow its hue range
Right-click a point	Remove it
Hold `H`	Preview the selected point's affected areas

Click a mask chip	Select the mask and show its handles
Hover over a mask chip	Preview its coverage
Double-click a mask chip	Rename it
Right-click a mask chip	Invert, center, or delete the mask

`Ctrl`+`A`	Select all visible photos
`Esc`	Close an open menu
`\` in the loupe	Switch between edited and original

These shortcuts work in the Library grid and loupe. With multiple photos selected, they apply to the whole selection.

Press the same flag, rating, or label key again to remove that mark. Purple is available in the on-screen controls and has no keyboard shortcut.
